An energy monitoring company came to us to develop a battery powered wireless remote sensor to allow them to gather very specific data to study the real-time usage of electricity for heating and cooling homes. They had surveyed the market for existing solutions and could not find one that would provide the exact data needed. FMT adapted one of our existing designs of a LPWAN device that can operate for long periods of time and restructured the data measurement and reporting architectures to provide the temperature and humidity measurements with the precision and timing that the customer needed. We provided both the device as well as the backend data storage infrastructure for the vast data set the customer needed.
