Prior to the implementation of laws that required hospitality staff to have a means of personal alert in case of danger, our customer approached us to develop a device that could be easily carried and provide peace of mind to their staff. This device was adapted from previously designed LPWAN asset trackers to fit in an ergonomic package that met our customer’s requirements. We assisted our customer with requirements definition, designed the hardware, and managed manufacturing of the devices. FMT also provided key field support in proving functionality, and initial deployment to meet the challenging schedule.
